GREAT SPACES REQUIRE GREAT EFFICIENCY.

REVERSIBLE INDUSTRIAL CEILING FANS

Well-being meets energy saving.

Equipped with EC motors that guarantee elevated performance, low consumption and reduced noise emissions, the HVLS HYPERBLADE is ideal for cooling and balancing temperatures in large environments.

Advantages and benefits

In Summer

The HVLS HYPERBLADE promotes the cooling of large environments by reducing stagnation and humidity whilst ensuring the best compromise between environmental comfort and personal well-being.

In Winter

By compressing the warm air that concentrates close to the ceiling the HVLS HYPERBLADE ensures the room stays at an adequate temperature at the occupants level within the room.

Destratification = Comfort

Destratification fans are designed to induce air movement which ensures that air is mixed to produce a uniform temperature within the building envelope.

Efficiency = Energy saving

Destratification fans in industrial buildings with high ceilings, operating a warm air heating system, can reduce energy consumption dramatically.

Reduced consumption = Economic savings

Ceiling fans are particularly suitable both in industrial contexts, where opting for air-conditioning systems would be too expensive, and in commercial spaces where their action allows significant savings all-round.

How it works and applications

5-blade NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE industrial ceiling fans are ideal for cooling and balancing temperatures in large spaces.

They guarantee high performance (up to 330.000 m3/h), low energy consumption and the possibility of integration into a BMS (Building Management System).
With a high degree of resistance to water and dust (IP65), they combine an extended temperature range of continuous operation (-10° C/+50° C) whilst guaranteeing a broad range of speed regulation, thanks to the brushless motors. These fans promote an ideal level of comfort and an optimal temperature balance throughout the entire room, both in summer and winter.

Elevated air flows

The ultra-high air flows (330.000 m3/h) at very low speeds ensure greater efficiency and lower noise levels.

Aerodynamic blades

The aerodynamic blades in 5 different diameters (from 3 to 7 metres) are made of extruded aluminium and come equipped with winglet that reduce the resistance.

EC motors

The brushless motors are designed to ensure high performance, low consumption and extensive speed adjustment ranges. High degree of dust and water protection (IP65).

What advantages do ceiling fans have over air conditioning?

Unlike traditional air-conditioning systems, which cool the air within the premises, ceiling fans act directly on the occupants, cooling their bodies without changing the temperature of the room. This results in significantly lower consumption, with obvious advantages both in terms of the costs of bills and environmental impact. In addition, the absence of effects on ambient air temperature means that the ceiling fans can be effectively used to cool bodies in outdoor open environments, such as verandas, outdoor dining spaces or – for the livestock sector – stables.

What are the advantages of NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE fans in the cold season (destratification)?

he density of warm air is lower than that of cold air. This causes warm air to rise naturally due to the effect of convective motions, concentrating near the ceiling. This phenomenon, known as stratification, causes a considerable waste of energy in environments with extensive heights (warehouses, industrial buildings, lobbies, airport and the like) in the area subject to rigid winter temperatures, rendering it necessary to resort to heating systems, owing to the need to transfer additional heat to the layers of air at human height, to compensate for the upward flow of the warmer air.
The most efficient and effective way to solve the problem is to scramble the air by pushing the warmer layers near the ceiling down, an action known as destratification. Thanks to the ability to rotate at extremely low speeds, NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE fans are able to achieve the expected result by maintaining the air speed at human height at values below 12 metres per minute, preventing any discomfort.
The adoption of the electronic control unit VORT T, which integrates a temperature sensor, also facilitates the automation of the speed regulation of the NORDIK HVLS SUPER BLADE fans in accordance with any changes to environmental conditions.

What is the range of impact of NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE fans?

The NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE series consists of various models, varying in terms of the nominal diameters, the power of the motors installed and the length of the blades suspended, being further enriched by a broad array of accessories for optimising use in a wide variety of potential installations, with areas of effectiveness ranging between 110 and 910 m2, corresponding to the circular surface area of amplitude equal to 4 times the nominal diameter of the unit.

What advantages do NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE EC motors offer over AC motors?

Compared to the cheaper fans equipped with AC motors, EC brushless motors offer a number of advantages that can be summarised as:
· Significantly lower consumption;
· Wide adjustment range (from 10 to 160 Rpm) of the rotation speed, thanks to the integrated driver that renders unnecessary optional external devices that are expensive and complex to install and configure – adjustment merely requires a working potentiometer with a 0-10 V signal.
· Reduced maintenance costs, given the absence of gears in gearboxes that are often combined with traditional motors;
· An extensive range of installation alternatives, by virtue of the possible supply from single- and three-phase lines, at voltages between 200 and 480 V and at frequencies of 50 and 60 Hz;
· Possibility of integration into a Building Management System (BMS), thanks to the Modbus communication protocol, via the RS485 port integrated into the motor driver.

What constraints should be respected when using NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE fans?

Fans of the NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE series can operate effectively in ambient temperatures between -10° C and + 50° C. The elevated (IP65) degree of protection of the motor against dust and water sources also renders these fans suitable for use in areas directly exposed to the elements.

Does the NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE require maintenance?

The fans in the NORDIK HVLS HYPERBLADE series are produced tobe virtually “maintenance-free”.
Under heavy working conditions (such as continuous operation at top speed in the presence of particularly high temperatures and humidity levels), periodic inspection should be conducted (we recommend annually) to confirm the correct status of the device coupling the blade to the support that binds them to the motor.
